I have several PDFs from my course readings that need to be merged into one file before class tomorrow, but I can’t install anything on my laptop. Is there a free online way to combine them?
Honestly, just use ilovepdf or smallpdf in your browser. I have to merge vendor contracts all the time on locked-down laptops where I cant install stuff, and it only takes a few seconds.
Yeah that last minute scramble is the worst. If it’s just a few files and nothing sensitive, Smallpdf or ilovepdf work fine in a browser without installing anything, you just upload the PDFs in order and download the merged one. Keep a copy of your original files somewhere separate just in case the merge messes up formatting. If these are course readings with your personal notes in them, double check what you’re uploading since some of those sites keep files on their servers for a while.
