How can I remove pdf pages from my lecture notes?

My lecture notes PDF is about 80 pages and I need to cut the blank slides before class tomorrow, but I only have my phone. How do I remove those pages?

Honestly, the easiest way on a phone is using a site like ilovepdf in your mobile browser to tap and delete them. If you are on an iPhone though, you can actally delete pages directly inside the built-in Files app.

On a phone, the easiest option is to use a PDF editor with a page-organizing view. Open the file, choose “Organize pages” or “Delete pages”, select the blank slides, then save a new copy so the original stays intact.

If the notes are sensitive, I would use an offline app rather than uploading them to a website. Check the saved PDF afterward, since some apps renumber pages or reduce the file quality.

I had to do this with a giant report on my phone last week.

  1. Open the file and hit Share, then Print.
  2. Tap to uncheck the blank pages you do not want.
  3. Pinch out on the print preview to save it as a clean new PDF.

Yeah this is annoying, especially last minute on a phone. If you’re on an iPhone, open it in the Files app, tap select, and you can actually delete pages right from the thumbnail view. Android is trickier, Google Drive’s PDF viewer doesn’t let you edit pages directly. Just make a copy first so you still have the original 80 page version if you mess it up.

@katherine.bell the files app thing worked for me too, i trim blank intake pages on the clinic ipad that way. on android i’d copy the file first before trying anything, last time i messed up and had no original left. if you can borrow a laptop for five min its less fiddly.
