How can I create a URL link for a PDF document online?

I need to share a PDF with a client who doesn’t want to download attachments, so I’m looking for a way to get a web link to the file instead. I’m on my work laptop where I can’t install anything, and the file is about 15 MB, so emailing it keeps bouncing back.

Honestly, the simplest thing is uploading it to Google Drive or Dropbox right in your browser. Just set the share link so anyone can view it and paste that to them. No installs needed and it handles 15 MB easily.

Do you have access to OneDrive, Google Drive, or Dropbox through your browser? Upload the PDF, choose “Share” or “Copy link,” and set access to view-only for the client’s email rather than public access. I use that for client meal plans, and 15 MB is no issue, but for tax or other sensitive documents I’d confirm your workplace allows that storage service first.

I do this with Google Drive too like @clumsy_goblin mentioned, but I always test the link in an incognito window first. Learned the hard way after a client couldn’t open my proof because permissions were set wrong.
