I need to pull a few pages out of a PDF for a client, and I’m stuck doing it on my iPhone. I tried a couple of apps but they either watermark or need a subscription. What do you use for this?

Honestly, you dont even need an app for this. Open it in the Files app, tap Share, hit Print, select the page range, then pinch out on the preview to save a new PDF. I do it with vendor contracts all the time.

I do most of my PDF stuff on a tablet with the Files app, but on iPhone I haven’t found a good free option without watermarks and I learned that the hard way. fwiw I’d try Files first anyway. Did that kind of thing work for you?

@clumsy_goblin That print trick in Files is what I use now when sending invoice proofs from my phone. I learned the hard way that other mobile tools compress graphics terribly, but iOS print preview keeps client files crisp.

Yeah this is annoying, especially when it’s a client contract and you don’t want some random app touching it. On iPhone I just use the Files app, open the PDF, tap the page thumbnails, select the ones you want, share/export as a new PDF. Keep the original untouched as backup before you start pulling pages, just in case.

@clumsy_goblin the print trick is what i landed on too after wasting an afternoon on watermarked apps. i pull single explanation-of-benefit pages out of carrier PDFs that way at the clinic and they come through fine. just pinch out slow, once i rushed it and got a blank page at the end.
