# I'm on my phone, can you send a pdf via text?

I’m trying to text a PDF from my phone but can’t figure out how to attach it or if it’s even possible with the file size. It’s a scanned contract I need sent right away.

Honestly, the simplest way is openning the PDF in your Files app, tapping Share, and picking Messages. If standard text blocks it because of the file size, I usually just upload it to Google Drive and text them the link instead.

I had to do this with a payroll form last month. Just open your phone’s files app, find the PDF, tap share, and choose your messaging app. If the scan is too big to go through, it is usually faster to email it straight from your phone instead.
