At work I merge and compress PDFs daily, and I’m stuck choosing between i love pdf and Adobe Acrobat. Tried the free versions but unsure which is better for office use. Any thoughts?

Honestly, if it’s just merging and compressing, ilovepdf is way quicker and cheaper. I do this daily with invoices and Adobe is just overkill unless you need heavy editing or your office has strict data privacy rules.

Are these PDFs sensitive, like tax or payroll files? For office use, I’d choose whatever your IT team approves, especially since browser services may upload documents to external servers. Acrobat felt heavy on my old laptop, but an existing company license, audit controls, and desktop processing would matter more to me than the interface.

@patriots_perth that privacy point is the one i’d listen to. at the dental clinic we deal with patient forms all day, so i keep anything with names or insurance ids off browser tools and just use what’s already approved. worth asking whoever handles it at your office before you make it a daily habit.
