I need to split a 20-page PDF into separate one-page files for a client, but I’ve never done this before. I’m on a Windows laptop and don’t even know what to search for. How do I learn the basics?

Honestly, just search for ‘split pdf online’. The esiest way without installing anything is using a tool like iLovePDF to extract all pages at once. I have to do this with vendor contracts constantly and it only takes a minute.

I’m not totally sure the easiest way but for my expense PDFs I searched split pdf pages on Windows and PDFsam Basic worked. Tbh I learned the hard way to always check the output order after. Did that work on your laptop?

Open the PDF in Microsoft Edge, press Ctrl+P, choose “Microsoft Print to PDF,” then enter page 1 under Pages and save it. Repeat for pages 2 through 20, naming them clearly like Client\_Page\_01.pdf. It is a bit repetitive, but it works on Windows without installing anything. Keep the original PDF untouched in case you need to redo one.
