I need to fill out an application form they sent me as a flat PDF, and I am completely lost on how to insert a text box so I can type my answers onto the blank lines. I tried double-clicking everywhere on my Windows laptop, but nothing happens and I really do not want to print it out and fill it by hand. What is the easiest way for a beginner to put new text onto a PDF like this?

Honestly, the easiest way on Windows is just opening it in Microsoft Edge. Right click the file, open with Edge, and use the ‘Add text’ icon on the top bar. You can just clik and type anywhere on the page.
